Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is crucial to upgrade your equipment to maximize the potential of your gear. It allows you to add additional bonus stats on top of your base level item's value.
Each upgrade template comes with set of options which can be changed via the GUI. These options include the upgrading reference and the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The process for upgrading armor, weapons and other equipment in Cyberpunk 2077 has been reworked as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components are scattered across Night City. The item you wish to upgrade must also include an upgrade slot. The game will display a preview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also show the component or material required. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item, the button will read "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include armor and weapons and trinkets and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on each of these can be filled with various upgrades that provide attribute bonuses or other effects while the equipment is in use. These upgrades can be obtained through crafting, bought from a vendor, looted or acquired as rewards.
There are two kinds: universal upgrades and gemstones. Universal upgrades are similar to gems and are able to be used in any type of equipment. They provide a lesser bonus than other upgrade components. Obtaining these is fairly simple to obtain, since they are dropped by enemies, or looted throughout the world. Gems however can be obtained by disassembling objects or completing specific tasks.
Upgrades can be replaced by new upgrades in a weapon's upgrade slot, but doing so will damage the previous upgrade. Other upgrades, with the exception for glyphs that are inserted in gathering tools, are not able to be removed from an item once they are placed. Infusions, which are placed in ascended equipment or legendary equipment, and enrichments, which can only be recovered using an upgrade extractor or by salvaging the item using a high-tier salvage kit, can be replaced every hour.
Recycled Items
During the last two world wars, a shortage of natural resources pushed the world to embrace recycling. It is now common to recycle items like paper, aluminum and plastic and give them a new purpose as something different. Recycling actually saves energy and keeps carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. It is also a great method to avoid landfills and conserve natural resources. However, it is crucial to know what materials can and cannot be recycled.

Click the dice icon in front of the item in your Inventory to reroll it. You can also press the button on a different lobby of a player, and then select "Reroll". After rerolling, the item will disappear from your collection.
You can buy rerolls and other items in-game from Sagbe which is an in-game Token Shop trader. You can also earn free rerolls redeeming active codes in Fire Force Online. These codes can be redeemed for a variety of items, including Reroll Tokens or Clan Reroll Tokens.
Rerolls can be useful in the beginning of the game, when you have to build up your inventory and dungeon gear. However, they're not the best way to improve your character's stats. Instead, you should concentrate on gaining more skill points. You can also earn bonus points by completing event levels.
You can also change your character's race with a race reroll token, which can be purchased through the Zen Market. This token can be redeemed through certain pack purchases or through the Token Shop. Leveling

Accelerators can be bought via the Exchange and increase the number of Tech Points gained through an upgrade by 50%. This bonus does not apply to the chance of a product's quality which is reset once the item reaches the mark level.
The Upgrade NPC also offers an option to transfer gear. The Upgrade NPC can also provide a transfer service for gear. This lets players save their progress and experience on a piece and transfer it to a different item in the same slot. This is a great option for players who want to swap out their gear but do not have enough money to purchase a completely new set.
